The Magic of Mendocino

This past weekend I took my partner up to the seaside village of Mendocino. He had never been there before and it is one of my favorite places in the world; so I wanted to share it with him. We had a wonderful time. During that trip I was the happiest I have been in awhile.

One of the things I love about Mendocino is that it feels like it is stuck in a time capsule. The village looks more or less the same as it did 15 years ago. The shops and houses haven’t really changed at all. The views of the ocean are still absolutely breathtaking.

Main St. in Mendocino runs parallel to the ocean. This is the view from the cliffs.

We went browsing in the shops, ate yummy food, hiked in the forest, and walked on the beach. Yes, all this was rough on my body, but it was worth it. We had such a good time. It definitely helped me to build my ladder.

Now that I am home I am feeling kinda tired and bummed out, but the memories from the trip make me smile.

[J hates getting his picture taken, so I had to take some of him all sneaky-like, but I’m not going to post them online because I feel like that would be rude]
